LIFE FASCINATES ME.  

Life is an unfathomable riddle that shows itself in all living organisms: in plants, animals, men, and in the matter it touches.  

Life is inconsumable.

Life makes each organism an individual with exceptional qualities.  

That fascination made me becom a biologist. However science brought me not the satisfaction (and answers) I found in art. I studied at the Willem the Kooning Academy in Rotterdam and am still trying with full conviction to catch "life" in my art.

I have been painting animals and human beings and still do but the main part now are birds. I am a corvidlover: I adore Corvidae: Jackdaws, Crows, Ravens etc.  At this moment they play the leading part in my art.

I also take commissions to make portraits of animals and men.
